The Sony Xperia Z1S whose press render was leaked few days ago is rumoured to get launched officially next month, along with a device codenamed Xperia Tianchi. According to a post posted on Digi-wo, Sony will be holding an press event in Shanghai on November 12th, where the company will be announcing both these smartphones officially.
Sony Xperia Z1S is reported to be the mini version of flagship Xperia Z1. The Xperia Z1S will sport similar specifications like Xperia Z1 f, but with minor hardware tweaks (as per the image). Since, Xperia Z1 f is a Japan exclusive Xperia Z1 mini, the Xperia Z1S will then be the international version of the Xperia Z1 f.
Further-more, the report suggested that Sony will held this event under the "Be Moved" theme.
Coming to the specifications part, the Sony Xperia Z1S is reported to arrive with a 4.3-inch HD display, 2.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, 20.7MP rear camera, 2.2MP front facing camera and 2,300 mAh battery.
Whereas, the Sony Xperia Tianchi is rumoured to be a mid-range phablet sporting 6-inch HD display, and true octa-core MediaTek processor.
There is no way to confirm this rumour, so it's better to take it with a pinch of salt.
