According to some reports, Micromax is soon, somewhat around next week, will be announcing the next Canvas series smartphone with model number A240, higher than Canvas 4 carrying A210. Micromax A240 was leaked last month with rumours to arrive with octa-core CPU and Full HD display. But unfortunately, according to AndroidOS sources, the smartphone will come with mid-end specs. In addition, Micromax is teasing the upcoming Doodle 2 smartphone on their social media channels.
The phablet is also rumoured to arrive with 16GB internal storage with 32GB expandable memory using microSD card, 2600mAh battery and dual-SIM support with dual-standby feature and will be 8.9mm thick, weighting 220 grams. Micromax A240 will come with all the software tweaks found on Canvas 4 like, vertical panorama, video pinning, flip to mute, Smart Pause and more.
Also, the phablet will most likely come with a price tag of Rs. 18,000, which is similar to Canvas 4 launch price. But, we think that Micromax might prize A240 around Rs 20,000. The site has also leaked a non-final artwork of Micromax A240 along with the leaked specification.
While, on the other side, Micromax is teasing the Canvas Doodle 2 on their Facebook page and Twitter profile from long time. MMXNewcaster have leaked some images of the upcoming Canvas Doodle 2 on their twitter profile, which matches with the AndroidOS non-final art work of Micromax A240. So, we think that the Micromax A240 is actually the Canvas Doodle 2.
MMXNewscaster have also leaked an image of Doodle 2 with Canvas 4 alongside, which clearly shows that Doodle 2 sports massive display. The smartphone will be competing with Samsung's Galaxy Mega 5.8.
We have done some investigation on this topic and have found that the upcoming Micromax Canvas Doodle 2 is actually the re-branded BLU Life View. We have also found an hands-on video of BLU Life View on YouTube by PhoneDog and got to know that the BLU Life View actually has metallic back, which means Doodle 2 will come with better build quality than Canvas 4.
The smartphone comes with power button on the right side and volume rockers on the left side along with 3.5mm headphone jack on the top and USB charging port at the button with capacitive touch buttons. The phablet actually comes with mini-SIM card slot and not the common micro-SIM card slot, which can be found by opening top back panel of the smartphone, as you can see in the image below. You can watch the full hands-on video of BLU Life View here.
