Back in April, we reported that LG is working on a flexible display smartphone, which they have planned for year end release. The report now looks real, as LG is soon going to launch a new smartphone with curved screen, reports CNET & Wall Street Journal (WSJ). According to both the publications, the phone will be dubbed as LG G Flex, and will be launched officially sometime in November.
Both CNET and WSJ have published alleged sketches of LG G Flex (both are same), and according to those sketches, this flexible phone from LG will come with slightly curved screen, allowing the ends to taper out. The curve will allow the phone to wrap around your face when you are making phone calls.
According to WSJ, LG will be using it's 6-inch plastic OLED display on this smartphone. The specifications of G Flex is yet unknown, but some previous reports from South Korea suggests that, the smartphone will come with quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor and other high-end specifications.
While we wait for LG to launch the LG G Flex, Samsung is already ready with it's flexible display smartphone, which they will be unveiling next week.
