Last year in October, Micromax revealed that it will be launching its devices in Russia and Romania in 2014. Micromax has now announced that they have started their operations in Russia by launching new Canvas and Bolt smartphones in the country. Micromax has launched two Canvas smartphones, the Canvas Beat A114R and the Canvas Social A94 in Russia. The smartphones are the variants of Canvas 2.2 and Canvas MAd, which are already available in India.
Micromax has also announced its latest flagship device, the Micromax Canvas Knight A350 in Russia, which comes with octa-core processor and 16MP camera.
Micromax will be launching as many as 14 devices in Russia this year, and has plans to introduce 60 service centers in the country by end of the month and aims to be top 4 brands in Russia by the end of 2014.
According to Mobile Forum, Micromax Canvas Knight comes with a 5-inch Full HD IPS display, 2GHz octa-core processor, 2GB RAM, Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and dual-SIM support (micro-SIM slots). The smartphone is only 7.3mm thick and has non-removable back cover.
Other specifications include 16MP rear camera with LED flash, 5MP front facing camera, 32GB internal storage without microSD card support and 2,350 mAh battery. The Canvas Knight comes in three colours, Black with Golden sides, Black and White.
The smartphone will go on sale in Russia soon, pricing details are yet unknown. No information is available on when the smartphone will land in India but we are expecting Micromax to launch the Canvas Knight in India in a week or two.
