It has been quite sometime, we haven't reported about Sony's upcoming mini flagship device, the Xperia Z1s. Our last post on Z1s revealed that the device will be launched next year in China for around CNY 3,600, which is approx $590. The Xperia Z1s, codenamed Amami, carrying model number D5503, is the international version of Sony Xperia Z1 f, which was introduced in October for NTT DoCoMo. Now, the smartphone has appeared on AnTuTu, revealing its power house details.
The D5503, say Xperia Z1s for now, since the name is not yet confirmed, scores impressive 34,193 points on AnTuTu, confirming the device to run on Qualcomm's Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at 2.3GHz.
In addition to the news, Amami has recently passed through the FCC. According to a sketch published in FCC, the smartphone will probably look almost identical to the Japanese-bound Xperia Z1 f. The Xperia Z1s is likely to get released with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean on-board, and not with Android 4.4 KitKat.
Recently an unnamed Sony smartphone has passed through China's TENAA, revealing the model number as L39t, with number of images. The name of the smartphone is yet unknown, but many are reporting it to be the actual Xperia Z1s.
According to the images posted on TENAA, the L39t will be a refreshed version of Xperia Z1 with few differences. The smartphone shares the same design as the Xperia Z1, but has its 3.5mm headphone jack placed slightly off-centre, compared to left side on the Xperia Z1.
The front-facing camera also sits on the left side of the SONY logo on L39t, as opposed to the right when looking at the Xperia Z1. Also, the left side of L39t has only one port flap as opposed to the two on the Z1.
So, the question is that, is D5503 the actual Xperia Z1s aka Xperia Z1 mini or the L39t is the Xperia Z1s in reality. Both these smartphones are likely to be announced at CES in January 2014.
