LG officially unveils Pocket Photo 2 (PD239), to be showcased at CES 2014 next month

LG has officially took the wraps off the next-generation Pocket Photo printer today. Sporting model number PD239, the LG Pocket Photo 2 comes with a sleek and stylish design, and is much more lighter, smarter and slimmer. The Pocket Photo 2 is now compatible with not only iOS and Android smartphones but also with Windows Phone 8 operating system and tablets as well.

The LG Pocket Photo 2 can be connected to any of these devices over Bluetooth or NFC. The new generation of Pocket Photo comes in three colours, White, Pink and Yellow, and will be available in Korea starting mid-January 2014.

Features and specifications wise, the Pocket Photo 2 is now just 20mm thick (4mm thinner than original Pocket Photo) and can print images at a resolution of 600 dpi (313 dpi for original printer). The printer operates on non-INK based technology, and uses ink photo paper for printing, similar to the first printer. 

LG will showcase the Pocket Photo 2 (PD239) at CES 2014 next month, where the company is expected to reveal its pricing and global roll-out details.
