BlackBerry Messenger to come pre-loaded on LG smartphones, starting with the LG G Pro Lite

LG has revealed that they have partnered with BlackBerry, and has announced that BlackBerry's popular BlackBerry Messenger application will come pre-installed on its smartphones. LG will be involving both standard and virtual pre-loading of the app, which means the app will be also available for download using the LG App Manager.

According to LG, the G Pro Lite will be the first smartphone to offer BBM out-of-the-box. The LG G Pro Lite was launched in India in October, and looks like new stocks of G Pro Lite will come pre-loaded with BBM.

To remind you all, a week after BlackBerry Messenger roll-out, BlackBerry announced that BBM for Android and iOS has crossed 20 million active users. BlackBerry has not come up with current users stats.
"BBM is widely used throughout the Middle East, Africa and Indonesia where smartphone users tend to engage heavily in social networking. The LG G Pro Lite offers an optimized BBM experience with its large, high quality display and embedded Stylus Pen," said Kevin Shin, Vice President of Marketing for Asia, the Middle East and CIS countries of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company.

"People across the globe are using BBM to connect with each other and the enthusiasm has been phenomenal. We're extremely pleased that LG Electronics will help bring their customers a more seamless experience with BBM by preloading the app, starting with the G Pro Lite in key markets," said Andrew Bocking, Executive Vice President for BBM at BlackBerry.
