HTC One Gold Edition built by Gold Genie now official, costs four times more than the regular version, pre-orders live

Remember the gold-coloured HTC One which appeared in China a few days ago. It looks like HTC is indeed serious with this deal, and surprisingly HTC One Gold Edition is now on pre-order in Russia for 99,990 rubles (US $3,098). The HTC One in gold is indeed coming, but the device will not be sold officially by HTC.

HTC One Gold is actually a custom made device by Gold Genie, a company that is known for gold plating popular gadgets and smartphones. Not only Gold Edition, but Platinum and Rose Gold Edition HTC One will also arrive soon. The HTC One "Gold" is the original HTC One but with 24-carat gold plating on it's back.

As per Gold Genie listing, 32GB HTC One Gold Edition will cost you £1,579 (Rs. 1,59,506 approx), whereas the HTC One Platinum Edition will cost £1,746 (Rs. 1,76,340 approx) and lastly, the HTC One Rose Gold Edition comes with a price tag of £1,663 (Rs. 1,67,922 approx).

HTC originally announced HTC One in two colours, Black and Silver, and soon the company showcased 'Glamour Red' version of HTC One and recently, HTC has announced the 'Vivid Blue' colour for the HTC One.

Also, according to GSMArena, HTC will soon come out with a Champagne Gold coloured HTC One, which will be much much cheaper than the original Gold HTC One.
