HTC Butterfly was officially announced last year in December, and later on this July, HTC announced the HTC Butterfly S, which is the upgraded version of Butterfly. If reports from ePrice are believed to be true, then HTC Butterfly S is not the real successor of HTC Butterfly, and the company is soon going to launch the real upgraded version of HTC Butterfly next year, the HTC Butterfly II.
According to ePrice, HTC Butterfly II will be launched officially next year around Taiwan's Lunar New Year, which is in the end of January 2014. The smartphone will most likely be released only in Asian markets, until and unless HTC decides to go for Droid DNA II, as the original HTC Butterfly was launched in the US as Droid DNA.
Talking about the rumoured specifications, according to ePrice sources, the smartphone will come with 5.2-inch Full HD display, quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, and will be water and dust resistant of IPX5 certification.
There is no more details available about the RAM, storage, and camera of the device. We will update the post as soon as we here some more information about Butterfly II.
