Report - Asus making next-generation Nexus 10, Motorola making next Nexus smartphone (Update)

Two Hot Nexus devices in one post. Talking about the Nexus smartphone first, some new reports regarding the upcoming Nexus smartphone have hit the web. The news came from Google+, Taylor Wimberly, founder of Android & Me. While, coming to Nexus 10 successor, last month after the launch of next-generation Nexus 7 (2013), Wall Street Journal, Amir Efrati, reported that, Google's own Sunder Pichai has told him that the next-generation Nexus 10 is on the way, made by Samsung. But, if Geek's are to be believed true, then Asus is busy making the 2013 Nexus 10.

"Motorola is currently working on next Nexus smartphone and will release it in Q4, that is not the Moto X," reported Wimberly on Google+. Given his past record with Motorola related leaks, it might be possible that Wimberly is true and we might see the Nexus 5 or whatever it will be named in final in Q4 made by Motorola itself. As their is no way to confirm this report, it's better to take it as a pinch of salt.

While, the folks of Geek are reporting that Asus is busy making the 2013 Nexus 10. Asus has already launched this year's Nexus 7 tablet, so as per Geek report, Google has again appointed Asus for making this year's Nexus 10 tablet.

According to them, the next-generation Nexus 10 will be released sometime in holidays. The tablet will be available at both Best Buy and Google Play Store after the launch. The specifications of the tablet are yet unknown, but considering the significant hardware improvements of Nexus 7 2013 over the last-generation Nexus 7, Google and Asus might make some big changes and improvement on this upcoming tablet.

Who is making the next Nexus smartphone/tablet is not so important, what we need is just pure Android and classy design with best specifications.

Update: Geek has leaked a retailer listing which clearly notes that the upcoming Google Nexus 10 16GB WiFi will be manufactured by Asus. No more details available right now regarding the product code, specifications, dimensions and other information. The retailer has filled those spaces with placeholders.
