Android Device Manager now live, find your lost smartphones easily

Google's own service to find the lost phones are now live. Last week the service started appearing on some Android phones and today Google has made the webpage of the service live. Dubbed as Android Device Manager, the service will help you protect your smartphone getting lost and will help you to keep your data safe and secure.

The service will automatically hit your smartphone without any notice. What you have to do is to just go to Settings > Security > Device Administrator > and Activate Android Device Manage. As the service is rolled-out in batches, it might take days to reach your phone or tablet.

Note: The service won't be rolled out in Google Play Store, it will directly hit your smartphone as soon your Google Play Service application is updated.

After activating the service you have to enable GPS and mobile data/WiFi on your smartphone and go to this link and login with the account you have logged in on your smartphone. After logging in, just choose the desired smartphone and you are good to go. You can either ring the smartphone on maximum volume or can locate your device on a map in real time or can quickly and securely erase all the data of the device remotely.

Make sure, you have to first enable the features of Android Device Manager on your smartphone to use them directly from the web. Sometimes the features are already enabled, while sometimes you have to do it manually by going to Device Administrator and tick both the service.

Android Device Manager works on any Android device with version 2.2 or above. If you have any problem using Android Device Manager then head over to the Official Google support page.
