Revamped Google Nexus 7 was expected to arrive by this time, but something seems to be wrong. Everyone expected Google to announce one or the other revamped or new Nexus device this year. But, this time we came across Samsung Galaxy S4 Google Edition aka Nexus Edition, which can't be considered as Google Nexus device.

Some new reports are pointing that, Asus is working on next-generation Nexus 7 and has just passed from FCC. The device was powered by Android 4.3 which was confirmed when the same tablet, the ASUS K008/K009, was spotted at the Bluetooth SIG, getting certified for Bluetooth 4.0.

This new 7-inch Tablet from Asus has some decent specs which make it a iPad Mini Competitor. This new tablet features, 7-inch Full HD 1080p resolution display with Quad-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro Processor, Adreno 320 Graphics, 3950mAh Battery, 32GB internal memory and 2GB RAM.

The tablet also features, 5MP rear camera with 1.3MP front facing camera, NFC, Wi-Fi with dual-band (2.4 GHz & 5 GHz), LTE and support for Qi wireless charging. The bezel of the tablet will be thinner than the one on the current Google Nexus 7 and the thickness of the device will be around 7.5mm and 8mm, making it quite a bit thinner than the current model.

If the tablet is going to arrive with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean on-board, then we hope Google to announce this new version of Android in coming weeks. The question now is whether this will be a new Google Nexus 7 model or merely a new ASUS branded tablet that happens to run on stock Android.
