Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for HTC One now rolling out in India

HTC has started rolling out the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for HTC One in India starting today. The update is not only rolling out in India, but is also live in other Asian countries like Malaysia, Hong Kong and Indonesia. The update is available over-the-air and brings numerous of changes along. You will be automatically notified when the update is available for your phone.

The update measure 330.06 MB in size. You can manually check for the update by going to Settings > About Phone > Software update > update. The update is rolling out for the single SIM version of Moto G, no word on when the dual-SIM version of HTC One would get the KitKat update in India.

The update brings new firmware version 4.20.707.7 and contains important enhancements and bug fixes, including:
  • Android 4.4.2 KitKat
  • HTC Sense 5.5 UI
  • Cloud Print Service
  • Security enhancements
  • New Bluetooth profiles to support more media interactions
  • Improved memory management 
The update also brings the improvements in KitKat, including immersive Mode, improved closed captioning support, stronger security, smarter power use, faster multi-tasking and more. Also, the update brings redesign gallery app, do not disturb feature, lock-screen improvements and improved music app.
