NVIDIA has officially announced the next major release in its mobile processor cycle. Dubbed as Tegra K1, the new chip comes with 192-core GPU and is based on NVIDIA's Kepler architecture, the same one NVIDIA uses on its desktop GPU. According to NVIDIA, the Kepler GPU is faster than Tegra 4 and other mobile GPUs like Adreno 330 in Snapdragon 800 and Apple A7, and offers the same graphics features as the PS4 and the Xbox One.
The Tegra K1 will be released in two versions, a 32-bit and a 64-bit. The 32-bit version comes with support for up to 2.3GHz quad-core Cortex A15 processor, LPDDR3 RAM and 3,840x2160 pixels display.
Whereas, the 64-bit version supports up to 2.5GHz NVIDIA-designed dual-core Denver processor based on ARMv8 architecture.
The 32-bit version of Tegra K1 will be available in the first half of 2014, while the 64-bit version will arrive in the second half of 2014.
