Flipkart promotes Moto G’s 5th Feb launch – Teases exclusive offers

Flipkart is India’s largest online retailer, so it only makes sense that it will be one of the first retailers to offer the highly awaited Moto G. Earlier today, Flipkart tweeted earlier today that the Moto G will be coming soon on Flipkart with exclusive offers.

Flipkart has set up a sign up page to allow interested buyers to be notified of the launch and the offers that come with it. The sign up page hints at early bird benefits stating that those who will buy the phone on the day of launch will get incredible offers. As has already been announced by Motorola India, details about Moto G launch and availability will be made official on the 5th of February i.e. 5 days from now.

One of the contradicting things I noticed on the sign up page is that the specifications mentioned show the Moto G to be running Android 4.3 Jelly Bean while earlier we had heard that Moto G will be launched in India (and a few other countries) with KitKat 4.4 onboard.

The Moto G is expected to go on sale for about Rs. 15k or lower for the 8 GB version. Thus, the phone is targeting the masses and has got a lot of people waiting for it since the phone had been announced internationally and it was confirmed that it would indeed see a launch in India in the coming months. Imported versions of the Moto G are already on sale for as low as Rs. 15k in India.

TOI reports that the recent transfer of ownership of Motorola from Google to Lenovo won’t hurt (or affect the launch of Moto G in India and other countries.
