NVIDIA Tegra Note with 7-inch HD display and Tegra 4 SoC officially unveiled, XOLO to launch it in India for less than Rs. 15,000

NVIDIA has officially announced their newest invention, NVIDIA Tegra Note in front of the world today. The tablet is designed by NVIDIA and manufactured by a contract partner. The tablet will be released around the world through several NVIDIA partner across the world for a price starting $199. NVIDIA has revealed that XOLO will be it's partner for the launch of Tegra Note in the India.

The company has not yet revealed any information regarding the release date, but the tablet is expected to get launched in India in October for much less than Rs. 15,000, which will be a great price, considering the specifications.

"It's (Tegra Note) a complete tablet platform, designed by NVIDIA and brought to market by our partners. It embodies the NVIDIA brand – from our hardware and software (right down to OTA updates), to our industrial design, accessories and network of partners in game development," NVIDIA quoted in the press release.

Feature-wise, NVIDIA Tegra Note comes with a 7-inch HD IPS display of resolution 1280x800p, 1.8GHz Quad-Core NVIDIA Tegra 4 processor, 1GB RAM, 5MP AF rear camera with 0.3MP VGA front facing camera, 16GB internal storage with 32GB expandable and 4,100 mAh battery.

The tablet comes with Android running on it (OTA supported), exact version is not yet revealed, but most likely it will be Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.

The NVIDIA Tegra Note comes with TegraZone app pre-installed, which provides access to Tegra-optimized games and also supports a variety of game controllers over Bluetooth.

It also comes with optional accessories including a intelligent slide cover flips, and a stylus, which is powered by NVIDIA DirectStylus technology, and micro HDMI.
