As long as smartphone area is concerned, first half of 2013 has been very prosperous for this segment of mobile industry. All the major companies including Nokia, Samsung, HTC, Sony etc. have launched their high-end models in the first half of 2013.
With Nexus 4 launched for Indian users, S4 coming with stock jelly beans, and rumors about iPhone 5s/6 are taking pace, it is safe to say that in second half market is going to be more competitive. In such situations, choosing the right handset usually becomes very difficult. Let me help you simply your decision by looking at top 10 mobile phones currently available in Indian market.
With Exynos 5 octa-core chipset (Although sadly, Indian users have to be satisfied on quad-core only) and 2600 mAH battery, S4 has enough fuel to run best games, render graphics, and support high-end applications. Samsung’s personalized UI over the top of Jelly Bean is sleek and smooth. Even the high price is somewhat justified with the feel this awesome device gives.
Price wise HTC has always been expensive. However, for the experience and quality their handsets give, they are totally worth the hole they make in our pockets.
With Google’s brand name behind it (So what if it is developed by LG, it is still a Google Nexus) the device is all set to rock your Android experience. In-box 4.2.2 Jelly Bean (and rumors of Nexus 4 to receive 4.3 getting louder), 2100 mAH battery, 8 MP camera with flash are some of the features, for which you have to buy this phone. Most importantly, Nexus 4 gives you as pure Android experience as there can ever be.
8MP camera with flash, longer battery life, high quality of material, great design, smooth UI, and most importantly the brand Apple is more than enough to woo users towards this phone.
Lumia has stunning looks and a great OS. It is different than most of the other Smartphones in terms of looks, design, and features, and that is the biggest USP of this phone. Agreed that app community is not very active on Windows 8 platform as of yet, but it is picking up really fast. Almost all the major apps are on Windows 8 (No, not Instagram yet, sorry folks), and developers have seriously started to take interest in this new environment.
With Z10, BB is trying hard to woo users, and they are getting successful in doing so. With 1.5GHz processor, 2GB RAM, 8MP camera, and 16 GB internal memory, Z10 is all set to fight with all top end handsets.
With 1.6 GHz processor and 8MP camera, Galaxy Note 2 is powerful enough to fight with all other phones of this list.
This phone has the capability to be in top-3 spot only battery life and support would have better.
The UI is really improved, and 13MP camera adds tremendous value to this otherwise ordinary phone. Overall, it is a decent phone with all the features to qualify in this list.
5-inch full HD display, powerful processor, good battery life, and most importantly very light on your pocket, this device is made for those who want all the high end features in mid-price range. Well, frankly speaking all great features under 15,000/-, what else would be the ultimate dream of a normal middle class mobile user?
These are some of the great phones based on my research and experience. Which phones do you guys like and why? Please leave your comments below.
